1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They allow the site to remember information about your session (such as whether you are signed in) and to function correctly across page loads.
Apselog uses cookies sparingly — only what is necessary to operate the Service. We currently set no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
2. Cookie Categories
Strictly Necessary
These cookies are required for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core features such as authentication and security.
Functional
These cookies remember your preferences (e.g., theme, dashboard layout) to improve your experience. Disabling them may reduce personalization.
Analytics
We do not currently set analytics cookies. If we add privacy-friendly analytics in the future, this policy will be updated and you will be notified per our Privacy Policy.
Advertising
We do not set advertising cookies or participate in cross-site ad networks.
3. Cookies We Set
| Name | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
next-auth.session-token | Strictly Necessary | Maintains your authenticated session. Set by Auth.js after sign-in. | 30 days (or sign-out) |
next-auth.csrf-token | Strictly Necessary | Prevents cross-site request forgery attacks on auth endpoints. HTTP-only. | Session |
next-auth.callback-url | Strictly Necessary | Stores the URL to redirect to after a successful OAuth sign-in. | Session |
__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid | Strictly Necessary | Set by Stripe’s JavaScript during checkout for fraud detection and session continuity. Only present on pages that load Stripe.js. | 1 year / Session |
Cookies prefixed with __Secure- or __Host- may appear in production builds — these are security-hardened variants of the Auth.js cookies above, set automatically when the Service runs over HTTPS.
4. How to Control Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Instructions for common browsers:
- Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari — Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
Blocking or deleting strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in and using the dashboard.
5. Changes to This Policy
If we introduce new cookies — particularly analytics or functional cookies — we will update this policy and notify you per our Privacy Policy.
